Let's face it, bringing home baby #1 is both exhilarating and terrifying. I'll never forget what one of my best friends later told me after coming to see me and my newborn daughter: "You looked like a deer in the headlights!" She was right, I was! Thankfully newborns are fairly resilient, and we figured things out.
Since I well remember that time (despite it being nearly 11 years ago!!!), one of the things that struck me the most about this little guy's parents were how perfectly calm and confident they are. Turns out, they are both ER nurses! I feel like that definitely is a leg up in the first-time parent department -- but for sure this is one loved and cherished baby boy with an amazing mom and dad. It's hard to pick a few favorites from our session; he was such a champ and so patient with being outside!
